The kiwi tree should to be planted during early spring or fall when the temperatures are moderate. Prepare a deep hole so that roots can expand freely and add compost to the soil to enhance its fertility of the soil. Plant spacing should be between 10 and 15 feet to allow them to grow very fast. Fruiting of kiwi plants involves male and female vines, and thus it needs good planning. Wet the soil after planting in order to make the roots quick.
